The National Society of Black Physicists will be holding their annual meeting on November 3-5, 2017 at the Hilton Atlanta (Hotel & Conference Center) and on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. The Annual Conference brings together a broad range of experts in multiple fields of physics (astronomy, astrophysics, biophysics, condensed matter and materials, physics, high energy....and more). NSBP conference is the largest academic meeting of minority physicists in the United States. It is co-organized in partnership with the American Physical Society (APS) and co-sponsored by the University of Southern California - Rossier's School of Education, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), the Department of Energy (DOE), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
For the Day of Scientific Lectures on Saturday, we have confirmed speakers Dr. Sylvester Gates, Dr. Stephen McQuire and Dr. Anthony Johnson. In addition to the Day of Scientific Lectures at Morehouse College, the conference will consist of educational sessions, exhibitions, and interactive networking opportunities, as well as, a student career fair and poster sessions on cutting edge issues related to current trends in physics and science.
We hope you will join us as we continue to celebrate 40 wonderful years of diversity and excellence!
Very best regards,
Dr. K. Renee Horton
