NSBP will be participating in the inaugural USA Science & Engineering Festival, hosted by Lockheed Martin, will be the country’s first national science festival. It will be held in Washington, DC 10-24 October 2010, and include an expo on the National Mall on 23-24 October.
The Festival promises to be the ultimate multi-cultural, multi-generational and multi-disciplinary celebration of science in the United States. The culmination of the Festival will be a two-day Expo in the nation’s capital that will give over 500 science & engineering organizations from all over the United States the opportunity to present themselves with a hands-on, fun science activity to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
At the NSBP exhibit, Physicists are SWAG (Scientists, Women, African-Americans and Groovy), visitors will be able to perform interactive physics experiments, learn about career opportunities in physics, and find out about the impact of African Americans and women in physics.
