National Society of Black Physicists

Nuclear and Particle Physics Section

 History
The Nuclear and Particle Physics Section (NPP) of the National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP) was created since the beginning of the existence of NSBP in 1973. Since then, numerous students, postdocs and faculty have been presenting their work at the annual NSBP conference which routinely dedicated 3-4 sessions in this field. NPP has seen the flourishment of various programs under the leadership of various of its members.

Goals
NPP was created to provide a rich environment for under-represented scientists, in particular the African American community, to prosper in the field of Nuclear and Particle Physics.
