Description
Development of basic skills in Functional Materials in a highly multidisiplinary environment. The students gain experience in how to develop research ideas, how to search the literature for relevant information, how to perform experiments, how to evaluate their data critically, how to write research reports, how to communicate their findings with other scientists through group meetings, seminars, and national conferences, and how to give both oral and poster presentations.

Experience
Undergraduate students who are US Citizens or permanent residents, and have completed their sophomore or junior year in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics or related fields.
Skills
Success in course work related to their major in the disaplines listed above.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office or equivalant.
